Title: Business Development Manager

Background
The Energy Risk Management business is booming, with a number of high-growth firms offering powerful combinations of consulting, software and programs.
The client has pioneered in energy risk management and is still innovating in both the physical and financial commodity space.
Its products include:
• earnings risk management,
• asset valuations,
• credit and debt structuring,
• fuel optimization,
• nominating,
• scheduling and balancing,
• and invoice reconciliation and management.
Principal Duties
Bring a fresh, sales-oriented approach to business development, calling on the CFO’s of energy firms.
Introduce new, capital-management services to the industry, working with a strong support team.
• Conduct industry market research to identify best target clients
• Visit potential clients and qualify leads
• Organize visits by firm execs to target companies
• Prepare proposals, working with support team.
Relevant Skills and Experience Desired
Candidates must have 10+ years of sales experience, preferably for an ERP software firm like Oracle, Quorum Software, Enverus or Trellis Energy.
Energy industry background desirable but not required.
Demonstrated performance against quota.
History of calling management at target firms, especially the CFO.
Compensation
Will be a blend of base salary and incentive, tailored to territory and agreed upon sales goals.
